My comunist organization

Us, after a meeting

By Liudmila Peña Herrera

In few minutes, I will join with my partners of the Communist Youth League to interchange our opinions and ideas about the Cuban reality. We always celebrate a meeting every month.
I like the committe of my job because we always analize political and social troubles of our conutry and we search how to solve them. We think and debate about national and international themes. But we are more than teammates, we are friends. We celebrate our birthdays, we help other partners when one of us has a problem and we always are present to say "you can count on me".
For these reasons, I am proud of my comunist organization and I want to share my experiences with my readers. Here you are some pictures.

The little princess

By Liudmila Peña Herrera

When a newborn comes home, the joy of family is multiplied. Eight months ago, Isabella poked his head through the belly of her mother and thus began the history of the reign of the younger princess of the family.
Gaby, the little prince loved her little sister from the first minute of her life. Thus, Isa is growing and she makes others to fall in love with her smile.

Sun rise in Cuba

I want to share the dawn in the lighthouse of Cabo Lucrecia, on the north of the province of Holguin, Cuba. There, the Ike hurricane landfall four years ago.
One year later, I visited that place and I enjoyed nature and the sincerity of its people. But the most beautiful experience was, no doubt, seeing the sun rise.

The most beautiful symbol of Cuba

Photo: Liudmila Peña
By Liudmila Peña Herrera

One of the most beautiful symbols of Cuba is its national flower: "la mariposa" (the butterfly). Cuban women decorated their hair with it and used it to hide messages in the struggle for independence. Its whiteness means the pureness of our ideals.
This picture was taken in a mountain of Mayari, on the east of Holguin, Cuba. Is it not true that is it beautiful?

Rainy days and my words

Taken from Internet
By Liudmila Peña Herrera
I like cloudy days because it seems the island becomes the world and the Caribbean heat of Cuba evaporates as if by pure magic.
I love rainy days because they remind me of my childhood, when the water drops fell outside and I could see through the open window of my dreams how earth and sky mingled in the distant horizon.
